Bridal Hair and Make-up

Have you thought about your wedding make-up yet? Isn't it time you did? Are you a little bit scared of having someone else apply your make-up, worried that they will put too much on or completely change the way you want to look?

As a Hair and Make-up Artist with over 10 years' experience in the bridal industry and a fully qualified Beauty Therapist, I am trained to make you look stunning for your very special day. I understand that every bride is special and bridal make-up is applied the way you want it.

Your step-by-step guide

  1. Make an appointment for a free consultation as soon as you know your colour scheme and view my portfolio of before and after photographs.
  2. enjoy preliminary treatments leading up to the wedding day, facials, waxing etc
  3. Book your trial make-up and hair carried out at my studio
  4. Final countdown to your day

STEP 1. Telephone AMANDA on 07885 33 34 35

Appointments can be booked from 9am until 6pm Monday-Friday and 2.5pm Saturdays. Please remember, trial make-up needs to be done in daylight hours to ensure a natural look so please remember this when booking.

STEP 2. Consultation

Once you have the date of your wedding set, just phone me and make an appointment to discuss your requirements.

12 months in advance of the wedding is not too early. You need to start thinking about your skincare routine to ensure your skin is in tiptop condition and now is the time to think about getting your nails in perfect condition.

STEP 3: Preliminary requirements

You may like to book a course of facials that wil take you up to the week before the wedding. Once every 4 weeks is ideal. Using the Molyneux professional range of skincare made with the purest plant extracts and essential oils - with 6 facials to chose from your skin will be looking its very best for your most important day. Your skin will love it.

You may like to consider an all-over tan. I use the St Tropez system which never goes orange, will not come off on your dress once the base colour has been washed off and smells divine. It is a one strength colour that suits your own skin colour, guaranteeing that you not only look absolutely radiant in your dress, but you have a golden tan for the beginning of the honeymoon.

A Jessica Manicure will ensure that you hands are looking their best for the photographs.

Eyelash Tinting - this may be an option if you do not wish to wear mascara.

Waxing - Using the hygienic Inverness roll-on system to ensure you remain hair free and smooth for 4- weeks. 3, 6 weekly sessions will ensure the best results if you've never waxed before.

STEP 4: Trial hair and make-up

You need to allow at least 2 hours for this appointment if you are having your hair done as well. Please bring your headdress if possible and a picture of your dress. A swatch of your bridesmaid's material is also useful.

Before and After pictures are taken and all products used are recorded so no confusion arises on the day - you will know exactly how you will look. Your eyebrows will also be re-shaped if desired. You are very welcome to bring a friend with you to this appointment.

STEP 5: The final countdown

To prepare for your special day and your honeymoon you may like to have your waxing, eyelash tint and eyebrow shape done with me. You may even wish to have a neck and shoulder massage to help relax you. Or why not indulge in one of my pamper packages.

STEP 6: On your wedding day

Today just relax. I will come to your house or hotel in plenty of time to ensure you and your bridal party are beautifully made up ready for the photographs which will last a lifetime
